Katherine A. Thomas has joined anesthesia services leader PhyMed Healthcare Group, as vice president of clinical outcomes and quality.
“Katherine has both the clinical and business expertise PhyMed needs to drive value for our partners, and we are fortunate to have her join our team,” says Marty Bonick, chief executive officer. “At a time when physician practices are being challenged with adopting new value based care models and reporting requirements from hospitals and regulators, her clinical and quality experience will help us to be proactive in meeting these heightened expectations.”

Before joining naviHealth, she was a project manager and patient safety expert for the University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. The Alabama native has also served in various nursing and quality improvement roles for a range of organizations including Proxsys (now part of athenaHealth), Science Applications International, and United Healthcare.
